Bosoflex Jaw Shaft couplings are torsionaly flexible shaft couplings, It operates with two hubs having concave jaws, transmitting the power by meshing with the help of elastomer involuted spider ring.
The spider couplings are used for a reliable, smooth power transmission without torsional vibration to protect the connected machines.
The Elastomer spider ring is ductile and flexible in nature and for this reason it can compensate angular and parallel displacement of the shafts and at the same time it can absorb the longitudinal movements of the shafts.
The teeth of the elastomer material are involuted and crowned to avoid edge pressure on the tooth flanks and unwanted axial thrust. The elastomer gear rings are made from newly developed Simirit-Polyurethane of various values of shore hardness, which has important advantages compare to standard polyurethanes. It is wear resistant non-ageing, having good resistance against hydrolysis, oil and ozone. It is also non-abrasive, has a good damping effect. It can withstand temperatures from -400°C to +1000°C.
Bosoflex Jaw Shaft couplings can be used for horizontal, vertical, reversing movements and intermittent service.
